An Image Is Not a Test Result

Why manufacturer imagery is labeled separately from photographs of inspected samples.

Identification imagery is separate from physical testing evidence.

Where the images come from

Product images in our current files come from the corresponding brand’s public documentation. Original editorial illustrations are used for methodology and general context.

What an image does not prove

A manufacturer image does not prove that we received, inspected or measured a physical sample. The evidence label remains the place to check the status of each article.

Source records

Article source links and the editorial asset source record keep provenance available for review. Brand names and product images remain the property of their respective owners.

The boundary of the record.

A published statement, its source and a physical measurement are different kinds of evidence. Keep those distinctions attached to your interpretation.
